Who am I? 

Born in Frankfurt, 1929, 

War was soon to happen at that time. 

 

I was born into a Jewish house, 

And our surroundings were quiet as a mouse. 

 

But then war broke out, 

And if we stayed there would be no survival, without a doubt. 

 

So, we fled to an apartment across town, 

Where the walls were dirty and brown. 

 

We were hiding for over 2 years, 

And when we were found it put us in tears. 

 

They told us to pack up at the end of the day, 

Then we were taken away.
